Archos details Neon Android tablets with 9, 9.7, 10.1-inch displays

Entry-level tablet range runs Android Jelly Bean, modest specifications

Archos has unveiled a trio of Neon tablets that take after the Platinum and Cobalt ranges in terms of appearance, though targets the entry-level market. The 90 Neon, 97 Neon, and 101 Neon all offer a quad-core A9 processor clocked at 1.4GHz, 1.6GHz, and 1.4GHz respectively with 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, and a microSD card slot for more storage options.

Running on Android 4.2, the three offer resolutions of 800x480, 1024x768, and 1024x600, ascending in physical size according to Android Community. Though they all sport the same similar internals and features, such as Wi-Fi, speakers, microphone, and speakers, there are some slight nuances between the three. The 97 Neon includes Wi-Fi Direct, wireless display support, and a rear-facing 2-megapixel webcam, while the 101 Neon is the only one with an HDMI output.

Archos has yet to reveal the pricing or availability for the range, but they are expected to ship for somewhere in the region of $200 or less.
