Rdio adds social sharing bar to web, desktop apps

Rdio has updated its web and desktop apps to make it easier for users to share tracks with social networks. The official blog reveals users can click on a song, album, or playlist and then drag it to a new sharing pop-up on the right-hand side of the screen. Users can then select whether they wish to share the tracks over Facebook, Twitter, or to other Rdio users, or alternatively, add it to a playlist in a fourth option on the same panel.


Twitter introduces image editing to Android app, heading to iOS soon

Twitter has started to add more image editing controls to its mobile apps, among other updates. The update allows users to crop or rotate a photograph before uploading, while a new a new prompt will suggest tagging other Twitter users in photographs. Phone Arena reports users will also see a new set of "recommended" tweets in a feed once all current updates have been read. The update is now live for Android, though Twitter claims it will be "coming soon" to the iPhone version of the app.
