Features 'top Valentine's gifts' and deadlines for holiday delivery
Taking a page from its own Christmas promotions, and coming on the heels of the asian stores' Lunar New Year celebrations, the online Apple Store has "redecorated" somewhat in preparation for the upcoming Valentine's Day holiday. It has added love-themed taglines, red graphical images and a new "Top Valentine's Gifts" section. The company also updated its Apple Store app for iOS to include the "Top Valentine's Gifts" section.
Also included in the makeover is a feature allows customers to check when orders would need to be placed from where they are located in order to ensure delivery using either standard shipping or the next-day option. For US customers, most orders must be placed by February 5 in order to guarantee on-time arrival with free shopping, but the deadline for next-day delivery is February 11.
The update has also allowed Apple to create new, clever taglines for the promotion, such as "Love is in the Air" for the latest iPad, and "Gifts they'll love at first sight" for the third-party accessories guide for Valentine's Day -- which features a number of (PRODUCT) Red options. As is typical for gift-giving occasions, the company is highlighting the fact that iPads and iPhones can be engraved with a personalized message free of charge.
