Dimensions of mystery LG tablet match size of LG G Pad 8.3
A tablet believed to be the LG G Pad 8.3 could be heading on to Verizon in the near future, if a rumor over a recent FCC filing is proved correct. Yesterday's filing shows a tablet from LG with a model number VK810 as having been approved for sale in the United States with support for LTE bands 4 and 13, the same bands used to access Verizon's LTE network.
Though the filing does not directly name the G Pad 8.3, Phone Arena notes it has similar physical dimensions to the LG device. Support for GPS, Bluetooth LE, and dual-band Wi-Fi is also included in the filing, though these cannot be used to confirm the device's identity.
Launched in September and available as a Wi-Fi model in the US, the G Pad 8.3 uses an 8.3-inch 1920x1200 IPS display, a quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor clocked at 1.7GHz, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of storage. Measuring 0.32-inches thick, it also includes a 5-megapixel rear camera, a 1.3-megapixel front-facing version, and a 4,600mAh battery.
