Upgrade free for OmniOutliner buyers dating back to 2011
OmniGroup has released OmniOutliner 4 for Mac, an update of its core notetaking and organization software. The app is now Mavericks-only, but has gained a number of tool and general interface enhancements. These include things like a new, modernized sidebar, better inspectors, column hiding, and a Resource Browser. Text zooming lets users quickly inflate text sizes for easier reading.
Theme Styling can be used to quickly convert documents over to a new color, size, and font combination. Some other upgrades include date parsing, a tutorial manual, and Smart Match, used when typing in a Pop-Up List cell.
OmniOutliner is $50 new, or $25 as an upgrade. People who have bought the software since January 6th 2011 are eligible for a free upgrade however, whether they shopped at the Mac App Store or directly from Omni. For an extra fee users can upgrade to a Pro version, which adds options like custom export plugins, section lists, and AppleScript support. The v4 update has yet to appear on the Mac App Store, since it's still waiting for approval from Apple.
