Thinium chargers offer thin profile, wall and portable charging options

Thinium has announced the debut of its line of slim portable chargers for mobile devices this week at CES. The Thinium Charge and Thinium ReCharge can charge a smartphone device as a wall charger, and can accommodate Android, Windows phones and iPhones.

The Thinium Charge does not require a cable for usage, but does include an integrated USB cable for charging from a computer or USB charging source. Charging directly from a standard wall outlet, the user connects their phone or mobile device to the charging dock. The Thinium Recharge is a two-in-one wall charger and rechargeable battery pack for mobile devices. Its dual port and built-in cord management allows for the charging for two devices simultaneously, attached to the wall or as a portable battery. Both Thinium chargers will launch in black, white and gold finishes.

Kensington releases 14 new iPad cases, offering spill and drop protection

Mobile accessories company Kensington has announced the release of 14 new cases for iPad Air and iPad mini tablets for rugged business environments. The new additions join the existing series of BlackBelt and SafeGrip cases that aim to protect tablets from accidental drops and bumps, as well as spills.

The Kensington BlackBelt series offers military-grade tablet protection at three different levels, with the first ($25 for iPad mini, $30 for iPad Air) using a strong, cushioned later of rubber for shock absorption, the second ($50 for iPad mini, $60 for iPad Air) with the addition of a hand strap and built-in stand, and the existing third including the former's attributes, plus a ClickSafe anchor. The Kensington SafeGrip ($55 for iPad Air) provides child-focused protection, providing cushioned protection made from non-toxic materials with a SafeGrip Rugged Carry Case. The BlackBelt series is available in black, plum and red, and the SafeGrip is available in charcoal and blueberry.
