FitBit update features MobileTrack activity tracking for iPhone 5s

FitBit has announced an update to its iOS fitness app, released today in the App Store. FitBit allows users to monitor their exercise activity with their iPhone, track their stats and set fitness goals. Version 2.1 of FitBit features MobileTrack, which utilizes the M7 coprocessor in the iPhone 5s to track basic activity as it occurs.

The app's social components have been redesigned, with updates to the appearance of the profile editor, tracker settings, and sign-in having been updated. Additionally, FitBit now includes revamped silent alarm settings, customizable water goals, and the option to 'tap' on people in the user's Friend Finder. FitBit requires 6.0 or later, and is free to download.

Python Cord protects Mac laptop charger from wear and tear

Mac laptop charger protector, Python Cord, successfully achieved its KickStarter goal last month of $2,500, earning a total of $6,834 during its campaign. The product is a small silicone tube that acts as a shock absorber near its base, where such cables frequently deteriorate prematurely. The Python cord, priced at $8, is now available for purchase online -- however, it is currently sold out due to high demand.
