Valve Software treated customers of its Steam game store to an unexpected holiday gift, by making Left 4 Dead 2 free to play. Altek launches Cubic 'Lens Camera' in Taiwan

Altek has produced its own take on the Sony "lens camera" by launching the Cubic in Taiwan. Connecting over Wi-Fi to a smartphone or tablet, the Cubic is said by Digitimes to offer a 13-megapixel ½.3-inch CMOS sensor, and a 3x optical zoom, inside a 52.5x45x26mm (2x1.8x1-inch) casing and weighing just 65g (2.3 ounces). The Cubic is on sale for NT$2,980 ($100), though it is unlikely to go on sale in the United States.
