Tour takes Apple engineers around the world, focuses on new technologies
Just a week after the conclusion of the 2013 tour of Apple's Tech Talks, a series of seminars on iOS development, the company has posted the videos and slideshows of the topics on its developer website. The presentations, which began in San Francisco on October 8 and included stops in New York, London, Tokyo and Shanghai, focused on integrating new iOS 7 technologies into apps, UI design and App Store distribution as well as gaming design.
The big change to the talks in 2013 was that the gaming session was separate from the one on general app development. Because they ran concurrently, attendees could only choose one of the talks rather than both.
The lectures were available only to registered members of Apple's iOS developer program, and Apple randomly selected attendees from a pool of interested applicants. It is likely that Apple will offer the travelling presentation tour again next year, presumably after the Worldwide Developer's Conference, where shorter versions of the talks originally debuted.
