Blu reveals $349 Life Pure smartphone with 5-inch 1080p display

updated 09:32 pm EST, Sun December 22, 2013

Unlocked device has quad-core 1.5GHz processor, 2GB RAM

Blu Products has launched another Android smartphone, just days after launching two other similar mobile devices in the United States. The Life Pure differs from the Studio 5.0 II and the Advance 4.0 in offering a five-inch Full HD 1080p display with a pixel density of 441 PPI, held within a single piece polycarbonate body that measures just 7.7mm thick.

Inside is a quad-core MediaTek 1.5GHz Cortex-A7 processor with a PowerVR SGX544 GPU, with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. On the back of the Android 4.2 device is a 13-megapixel BSI camera sensor with autofocus and an LED flash, accompanied by a front-facing 5-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, a 2,000mAh battery, and 3G connectivity.

Though Blu has yet to reveal when the $349 Life Pure will be available to customers, it is apparently in production and shipping to retailers in the US and Latin America.
