Significant update to FotoMagico 4 focused on software infrastructure

Boinx Software has announced a major update to its slideshow software, FotoMagico. The program is intended for professional photographers, and offers the ability to create high-resolution presentations. The latest version, FotoMagico 4.4, offers improvements centred around software performance, with up to 6x faster exporting, better color accuracy and better quality for H.264 and Apple ProRes formats.

The updated version is now compatible with OS X Mavericks. Its 64-bit architecture accommodates large slideshows with many slides and video content. Also included in the update is the transition from utilizing QuickTime to AVFoundation, which improves video playback, avoiding stuttering ad enabling precise cuts. Legacy video formats are now supported through automatic conversion to modern formats. In respects to keystroke command functions, using the 'c' key during video scrubbing will cut a long video clip into multiple consecutive, shorter clips for simplified editing.

FotoMagico 4.4 is a free update for all current owners of a FotoMagico 4 license, and $100 for new users. FotoMagico 4.4 is currently in review to be released on the App Store, and is otherwise available from Boinx and other retailers.
