Evernote gets easy contact conversions

Popular notetaking app Evernote saw an update on Thursday, bringing it to version 7.2.0. The new version of Evernote gives users limited access to a Premium feature with the ability to scan business cards into their iOS devices and have the app automatically log the information on the card as a contact. Added contacts can then be synced to a user's LinkedIn, Facebook, or Address Book.

The app can also be set to automatically email a user's information to that new contact. Non-Premium users will have the ability to scan up to five business cards during their free preview before the feature is disabled.

Another Premium preview feature available in version 7.2.0 is Presentation Mode. This mode uses AirPlay or a cable to present a user's notes to an audience. Non-Premium users will have 14 days of complementary access to the feature before it becomes deactivated.

Other new features include the ability to choose default notebooks for Business users. It also adds the ability to duplicate notes easily, and to earn Premium and other rewards by referring friends to Evernote.

Version 7.2.0 of Evernote is available for download in the App Store. The 36.5MB download requires an iPhone, iPad, or iPhone running iOS 7.0 or higher.
