MailDeck e-mail client now available on iTunes for iPad
Released at the end of last week, Crono officially launched its email application MailDeck for iPad. The app offers effective email organization based on the relevant content the user receives. Featuring three view modes -- list, preview and decks -- users can choose to view email content by scrolling through multi-line preview, full-screen preview, or scanning through messages on small cards, with conversations stacked.
MailDeck is password-protected, with optional passcodes per user accounts, and all messages and attachments are encrypted using 256-bit AES encryption. Its modernized search function includes various filter types, such as by subject, sender, recipient, body content, whether a message has an attachment, and more. MailDeck is available as a free download from iTunes, with premium features accessible with a yearly subscription of $5.
Macphun Software's Focus 2 features focus and lens blurring effects
Macphun Software's Focus 2 was released this week, offering photo-editing effects centered around lens-related effects. Intended for photographers of a wide variety of skill levels, Focus 2 provides realistic effects settings, such as Macro, Tilt-Shift, and Portrait, as well as a custom focusing tool. Its one-click auto enhancement fixes contrast, color, and brightness, and users can crop, zoom, and straighten an image's aspect ratio.
Focus 2 is compatible with full gesture support, and possesses real-time previews with its LiveBlur technology. Focus 2 can currently be purchased for $10 from the App Store, with its price increasing to $15 in early 2014. Users of the original Focus app must pay for the upgrade to Focus 2.
