BaseJump's software updated for Mavericks, including headphone detection
Twelve South has announced that its portable sound system, BassJump, has received a MacBook software update for OS X Mavericks compatibility. BassJump offers users additional audio speakers for one's MacBook, powered by a USB cable.
BassJump Sound System's latest software version, 2.5, blends the sound output with the built-in MacBook speakers, adding bass for enhanced sound. Its new features include automatic headphone detection and a Retina-compatible interface. The software update is free for all current BassJump users. For new users, BassJump is available online for $70.
Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed Pirates launched
Ubisoft announced yesterday its release of Assassin's Creed Pirates game for iOS on the App Store, as well as an Android version on Google Play and the Amazon Appstore. Set in 1716, players take on the role of Alonzo Batilla, and manage a ship's crew, engaging in real-time naval battles.
Assassin's Creed Pirates includes a new mobile engine, offering 3D visuals of moving waters, islands and elaborate graphics. Available for $5, Assassin's Creed Pirates requires iOS 7 or later for iOS devices.
