Amazon offers free storage for Note 3, S4, G2
Amazon is offering customers 50GB of free online storage when they purchase an on-contract Android smartphone through its marketplace. The storage is handled through Amazon's Cloud Drive service, which lets users store photos, files, music, and more. Amazon has more than 100 smartphones eligible for the offer, all listed on its site.
Among those devices is Samsung's Galaxy S4 flagship device, available for as low as $0.01 with a two-year contract. Amazon also has the Galaxy Note 3 for $130 on contract, the LG G2 starting at $0.01, and the Moto X, also starting at $0.01.
Also on offer are the Google Nexus 5, HTC One, and Motorola Droid Maxx, each on contract, for as low as $0.01. A number of other less popular smartphones are also available for purchase and eligible for the 50GB cloud storage option.
Users can take advantage of the offer by buying one of the listed phones from Amazon's portal page. Thereafter, 50GB will be added to the user's Amazon Cloud Drive account. The storage should appear as available within 10 days. The offer runs until December 31.
