Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas to be released in December for iOS

First released for consoles in 2004, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is set to be launched for iOS in December, according to Rockstar Games. Set in the early 1990s, GTA: San Andreas is centered around Carl "CJ" Johnson, the protagonist, and his involvement in the Grove Street Families gang fighting with the Ballas and Vagos.

Upgraded for its mobile release, GTA: San Andreas will feature newly-remastered graphics, including detailed shadows, greater draw distance, enriched color palette and enhanced characters and car models. Its new touch controls display buttons only when necessary, and three different control schemes for driving and maneuvering provide easier progression. The game is compatible with controllers, including 'Made for iOS' controller capability on iOS 7. Its official December release date and price are yet to be announced.

Target's iOS app updated in time for Black Friday

Target, a discount department store chain, has announced the release of its updated app for iOS of the same name, two days before the major shopping day Black Friday. Target's app allows users to shop online from their mobile device, create shopping lists, peruse its weekly promotions, access gift registries, and more.

Version 6.3 of the Target app offers a new design that is optimized for iOS 7, including 7-inspired fonts, colors and icons. Navigation has been improved with the addition of a 'swipe-to-go-back' gesture, and the shopping list function can now highlight list items that are on sale, and offers improved 'type ahead' entry results. A series of beta, in-store features are available for select stores in Minneapolis, Seattle and Chicago. In these locations, app users can access store maps that provide support for multiple floors, and entering a specific product or generic item will result in displaying its location within the store. The Target app can be downloaded for free on iTunes, and requires iOS 7.0.
