Video from recent iPad-iPhone event used to showcase abilities
Apple has added a new page to its website showcasing the abilities of the iPad in real-world scenarios, called "Life on iPad." The page feature six stories that feature the iPad in a wide variety of usages, from how windmill power technicians use it to replace bulky repair schematics to doctors using the iPad to envisage surgical techniques that minimize risks for patients. The lead illustration, and the stories, are drawn from an iPad Air video which debuted at the latest generation's unveiling last month.
Included on the page are features on speedskater Bridie Farrell, Broadway choreographer and director Jeff Whiting, Palmaz Vineyards and Riveria Racing Team owner and driver Mark Post, among others. The iPads are seen in use on 250-foot-tall wind towers, underwater in ship explorations, inside a racing vehicle and used in agriculture, the arts and medicine. Each story features a snippet of video from the longer promotional film, which can also be seen in its entirety on the page.
