Tumblr app gives visual overhaul, new UI for user interaction
Visual blogging service Tumblr has updated its iOS app for iPhone and iPad to version 3.5, bringing with it a complete overhaul of the look - now using the iOS 7 design language - as well as a handful of new features. Users will discover a completely new user interface for composing, reblogging and post style selection, alongside the redesigned Dashboard. The reblogging feature is now faster as well, and the update also offers tagging auto-completion.
Chrome for iOS gains autofill, long-press image search option
Google has updated its alternative web browser for iOS, Chrome, to version 31.0.1650.18. The update adds a promised and sync-able autofill feature that will let users sign into their Google account on either Macs or iOS devices, and autofill forms on the web with Google storing the information for compatibility across devices. The new version also adds a long-press gesture to image searching, allowing a long press on an image to launch a search for related images automatically. In addition, the update offers the usual stability and security improvements and miscellaneous bug fixes.
