PayPal iPhone app gets iOS 7 redesign, QR/barcode payments

Money can be returned to bank accounts via Wallet

eBay-owned PayPal has released an updated iPhone app, v5.2. Like many iOS apps, the title has been updated to match the look and feel of iOS 7. PayPal has also added several important features however, most notably the ability to pay by scanning a QR code or barcode at supporting stores.

Users can also transfer cash from PayPal back to a back account via the Wallet. PayPal has lastly implemented a number of bugfixes, and made the start screen selectable for faster access to relevant info. The app is a free download, and runs on iPhones and iPods with iOS 6.0 or later.
