Briefly: Twitterrific 5's new interface, Airmail Beta updated

updated 01:42 pm EST, Mon November 11, 2013

iOS Twitter client Twitterrific launches at 50 per cent off

The Iconfactory's Twitter client for Mac, Twitterrific, has received an update today. Twitterrific provides users with a unified timeline for browsing mentions, and direct messages from a single view. Version 5.5.3 offers a new layout for user profiles, and new pull-to-refresh animation. Users can view profile banners by tapping on them, and swipe upwards on a photo to dismiss the image viewer. Bug fixes are also represented in the update, preventing deleted tweets from re-appearing after refreshing, and resolving an issue where pinning the sidebar open on iPad would prevent VoiceOver timeline access. Requiring iOS 7, Twitterrific is available for iPhone and iPad, and is priced at 50 percent off ($3) for a limited time.

Airmail Beta Version 1.3 (214) offers broader language support

Airmail, an alternative email client for OS X, released a new beta release last week, bringing the latest version to 1.3. A heavily customizable app, Airmail offers a scroll-to-refresh format for its unified inbox, and a visible list of created folders and tags on its expanded sidebar. Airmail v1.3 (Beta 124) includes the addition of Advanced Search with Chinese, Japanese and Russian support. New preferences and improved loading time, performance and visual themes are also included, and more. Airmail Beta can be downloaded from the developer's website for free.
