Google Drive for iOS gets multi-account support, single sign-in

updated 01:15 pm EST, Thu November 7, 2013

App remade for iOS 7

Google has released a major update of the Google Drive iOS client, v2.1.0. The app now includes full iOS 7 support, but has also gained several other features. These include support for multiple accounts, letting people access files with separate purposes; a given example is keeping distinct personal and work libraries.

The app has also gained single sign-in functions. Signing into Google Drive will automatically sign users into other Google apps on a device, such as Chrome, YouTube, or Google Maps. Meanwhile, people have the new option of printing documents via AirPrint or Google Cloud Print.

The app is a free download, and runs on iPhones, iPads, and iPod touches with iOS 6.0 or later.
