New laptop features i7 4700HQ Haswell processor, GTX 765M GPU

Maingear announced today the launch of the new Pulse 17 laptop, what the company calls the "world's thinnest 17-inch gaming notebook." The brushed aluminum laptop features a 2.4GHz Haswell i7 processor and the Nvidia GeForce GTX 765M for what the company calls "the best possible performance" in a 0.85-inch thick case.

The Pulse 17 weights less than six pounds, and boasts the Intel Core i7 4700HQ mobile processor that can be boosted from 2.4GHz to 3.4GHz using Intel Turbo Boost 2.0, an Nvidia GeForce GTX 765M with 2GB video memory, and a built-in subwoofer and surround speaker package powered by Sound Blaster Cinema. The standard RAM on the unit is 16GB of dual-channel DDR3-1600.

Load times are minimized with a RAID 0 Solid State drive array with speeds speeds over 900MB per second. Networking connectivity is provided by Killer Doubleshot networking optimization over wired Ethernet and Wi-Fi.

Available in good, better, best configurations, gamers can customize the exterior style of the laptop and receive a one to three year hardware warranty. Prices start at $2,099.
