Users complain about keyboard, trackpad lockups on new MacBook Pros

Hard reset only solution so far

Owners of the new MacBook Pros are complaining about their keyboard and trackpad controls periodically freezing up, according to threads on Apple's official support forums. The problem appears to affect every size and configuration of the Pro. The only definite solution so far is a hard reset, although some people suggest that forcing sleep by closing the lid and reopening it may also get control back.

The issue appears unrelated to OS X Mavericks, since older Pros upgraded to the software haven't had any trouble. Apple has yet to say anything about the cause of the glitch, what a fix might entail, or when problems might be resolved.
