Nvidia updates Shield with Android 4.3, updates Gamestream with console mode

Nvidia has updated its Shield hand-held gaming system with Android 4.3, adding support for "thousands more Android games," writes the Nvidia blog. The software upgrade brings the company's Gamestream out of beta, which allows users to stream games from a PC, while a new Console Mode allows for the Shield to be hooked up to a TV and controlled by a Bluetooth controller, effectively running as a game console or media extender for the PC. Nvidia is also offering up to $100 off the cost of a Shield and free copies of three games with the purchase of selected GeForce GTX graphics cards.
