New iTunes Trailers doesn't add features, just iOS 7 redesign
On Thursday, Apple released an updated version of its iOS app iTunes Movie Trailers, one that lets it work more smoothly with iOS devices running iOS 7. The update brought no new features to the app, which simply showcases and plays movie trailers on demand. The overhaul, however, brings the app fully in line with other Apple iOS 7 improvements, from the new icon to the redesign of the screens. The free app is available now from the App Store.
Find My iPhone updated for iOS 7
Likewise, Apple also updated Find My iPhone for the look of iOS 7 without adding any significant changes. The app, which is also used to find all other types of iDevices, locates the signal of active devices and helps owners find them, or protect and erase them if the device has fallen into the wrong hands. The program lets users remotely wipe the iPhone, display a helpful "lost" message to help retrieve misplaced iOS devices, now includes Activation Lock. The program is free and available now.
Podcast app goes to version 2.0, gains features
Apple's Podcasts app, which works to provide a standalone interface for podcasts on mobile devices, has received new features along with the obligatory style update to iOS version 7.0. The update brings a new Featured tab, making it easier to discover new podcasts; a Search tool for the Podcast Store, making it easier to locate desired podcasts; a revamped Top Charts that shows podcasts and episodes in a simple list, and now the ability to view a user's own "stations" as a list of episodes and makes it possible to group them by podcast. Once again, the app is free and available now on the App Store.
