Prepaid carrier launches alongside US Cellular

Confirming earlier leaks, Boost Mobile has officially announced plans to launch both the iPhone 5s and 5c. The phone will go on sale with the carrier starting November 8th, the same day as US Cellular. Pricing details have yet to be revealed, but the phones will qualify for Boost's "Shrinking Payments" system, which reduces monthly fees for people who regularly pay on-time.

The 5s and 5c will be Boost's first iPhones, even though the carrier is owned by Sprint. The main advantage of going with Boost is its prepaid plans, which include unlimited voice, texting, and data. The company has relatively limited 3G and 4G coverage, however, and monthly data is throttled past 2.5GB.

The Boost and US Cellular launches will take place just days after a round of international iPhone expansions. Stock of the iPhone 5c should be plentiful, but the 5s could still be in tight supply as Apple suppliers struggle to manufacture enough units to meet demand.
