Google could be launching its Chromecast dongle internationally in the near future. Apps for the device are now available to download in other countries, according to Android Central, with a number of users noting that it can be gained from Google Play in the UK, Germany, India, Canada, and Panama. Though Amazon has started to ship the media streaming dongle internationally, Google has yet to do the same.

Nintendo ceases Wii shipments to Japanese retailers, lists console as discontinued

Nintendo has stopped selling its Wii game console to retailers in Japan. The company's website lists the game console as "discontinued," according to Engadget, and though it appears to be listed normally in other regions, it is possible that it will do the same elsewhere in the coming months as well. Gamers in Japan wanting to play Wii games will be forced to buy the company's struggling Wii U.
