Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom with 16MP camera for AT&T leaked

Smartphone with 10x optical zoom allegedly heading to AT&T this year

The Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom will be heading to AT&T in the future, according to a new rumor. A leaked image of the hybrid compact camera and smartphone shows it as having icons for AT&T services on its screen, as well as connected to AT&T, strongly hinting that the carrier will soon be offering a subsidized version on its network.

Launched in June, the Galaxy S4 Zoom has a 4.3-inch qHD sAMOLED display, backed by a dual-core 1.5GHz processor with 1.5GB of RAM. It offers the same general features of a smartphone, including 8GB of expandable internal storage, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, GPS, and a 2,330mAh battery, with the @evleaks Twitter account photograph showing it as able to connect over 4G LTE.

Its biggest feature is its rear-mounted camera, which has a 16-megapixel sensor with optical image stabilization, a 10x optical zoom with 24-240mm lens, Xenon flash, and the ability to shoot at 4 frames per second. Its "Zoom Ring" surrounding the lens allows the user to switch between camera modes without using the screen, including HDR, Panorama, Smart Mode, Best Photo, and animated photographs.

While it is touted for release sometime before the end of this year, neither a more specific launch date nor price has been revealed for the device.
