Partial Nexus 5 listing momentarily appears on Google Play store

updated 10:08 pm EDT, Thu October 17, 2013

No confirmed specs, other than $349 price for 16GB model

Adding to the panoply of leaks about the new Google device, a detail-free listing for the Nexus 5 appeared with no fanfare, and has since been pulled, on the Google Play store. Other than an image, no details were made available, except for a price -- the anticipated phone is listed at $349 for 16GB of storage.

The next Nexus device will reportedly sport a 4.95-inch 1080p display with IPS and TFT technology, as well as 2GB of RAM and a 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 processor. The manual says the device will be available both in 16GB and 32GB configurations, with an 8MP rear camera and a 1.3MP front camera.

In addition to those features, the device will have Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, near-field communications capabilities, and built-in wireless charging. In terms of form factor, the Nexus 5 is said to be the same size as the Nexus 4.

A leaked service manual for the device was briefly available online, but has since been pulled due to copyright infringement. It has been long rumored that Google would release the device some time in October, with an event rumored for the end of October.
