OtterBox Preserver Series offers full submergibility up to 6.6 feet
Protective accessories manufacturer OtterBox has announced the release of its latest rugged smartphone case line, the Preserver Series. The Preserver Series is promoted as being fully waterproof -- withstanding submersion in water up to 6.6 feet for 30 minutes -- as well as dust and drop proof. The cases fit the iPhone 5, and will be coming soon for iPhone 5s, 5c and Samsung Galaxy S4 as well.
Designed as a two-piece case that snaps together, the Preserver possesses a solid plastic frame, device cradling foam and overloaded bumpers to absorb and deflect shock away from the device inside. Its built-in screen protector guards the display from scratches, but does not inhibit touch sensitivity. Priced at $90 and available in a variety of color options, OtterBox's Preserver case can be purchased online.
PDFpen for iPad and PDFpen for iPhone add Google Drive and Jot Touch support
Versions 1.6 and 1.4, respectively, of PDFpen have been released for iPad and iPhone, according to developer Smile. The PDF file reader and editor's latest version now has import and export support for Google Drive, and the latest Adonit Jot Touch pens are now compatible with the software. Other features of the update include bug fixes for iOS 7, and improved object placement. Requiring iOS 6 or later, PDFpen can be purchased for $15 for iPad and $5 for iPhone.
