Samsung Galaxy J heads to Japan with Galaxy Note 3 internals

Brightly-colored Galaxy J unlikely to see non-Japan release

Samsung has launched another Galaxy-branded smartphone, coming to NTT DoCoMo in the future as part of its new seasonal roster, alongside the Sony Xperia Z1f. The Galaxy J, shown by the Japanese carrier to be available in white, blue, and pink, appears to be a mix of the physical design of the Galaxy S 4 with Galaxy Note 3-inspired internals.

Inside the Galaxy J is a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 clocked at 2.3GHz with 3GB of RAM, according to Pocket-Lint. Running on Android 4.3, it uses a five-inch 1080p display, a rear 13-megapixel camera twinned with a front-facing 2-megapixel version, NFC, support for the 150Mbps Xi LTE cellular network, and a 2,600mAh battery.

Launching on the carrier at the end of this month, it is likely that the Galaxy J will be a Japan-only smartphone, and probably will not head to other countries.
