Apple posts 'Tips and Tricks' guides on iPhone websites

updated 04:38 pm EDT, Fri October 4, 2013

Provides short introductions to iPhone concepts

Apple has added "Tips and Tricks" pages to the websites for the iPhone 5s, 4s, and 5c, visitors note. Each page has sections dedicated to topics like Calendar, Maps, Siri, FaceTime, and Find My iPhone. Where appropriate, the pages differ to reflect the features of each device; the 5s' Camera page, for instance, mentions options like Burst shooting.

A full-length iPhone User Guide is also present on Apple's website, and bookmarked by default in the iPhone version of Safari, but Apple may consider it relatively unnoticed. Surfacing features may increase the casual user's familiarity with the iPhone, and make it a more appealing product. There are no tutorial features baked into iOS 7.
