iOS Netflix now streams in HD

Netflix has launched an update for its iOS app, introducing support for HD playback and AirPlay streaming. With AirPlay streaming users can play content on an Apple TV while running the app in the background, which differs from the previous AirPlay mirroring option. Other changes in v5.0 include playback optimizations and stability improvements. The update is live in the App Store and requires iOS 7 for both HD streaming and AirPlay mirroring.

Pinnacle Studio update introduces new montages and titles

Pinnacle Studio, an iPad app that allows users to edit film footage, has been updated to v4.0. New to this release are more than 30 free montages and titles designed for use with existing themes, as well as 48 new montages and titles sorted into 6 new themes. The Speed Control feature also now supports audio speed on iOS 7 devices and iTunes File Sharing can be used to import media files. In addition, a Cloud Connection Pack that adds support for Vimeo, Dropbox, Google Drive, and Microsoft SkyDrive can now be purchased for $4 within the app. Pinnacle Studio is a $13 purchase in the App Store.
