Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 for 2014 preorders begin tomorrow for Oct. 10 launch

Samsung has revealed it will be shipping the 2014 edition of its Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet in the United States next month. The updated large-screened tablet will be available to pre-order from midnight EST on September 27th, ahead of its October 10th shipping date, and though it will be available in 3G and 4G LTE versions in the future, only the Wi-Fi models will be going on sale at first.

This year's Galaxy Note 10.1 has a WQXGA LCD display, with a resolution of 2560x1600. Inside is a 1.9GHz Exynos eight-core processor with 3GB of RAM, a rear 8-megapixel camera, and a choice of 16GB or 32GB of expandable storage. The signature S Pen also makes an appearance, complete with its hovering Air Command feature, Scrapbooker content collection, screen capturing, Pen Window app launching, and S Note enhancements.

The 16GB model will be selling for $550, while the 32GB version will cost $600. Customers will also receive a number of perks, including three months of free access to Hulu Plus and SiriusXM, a year of Boingo Hotspot access, 50GB of Dropbox storage for two years, a one-year subscription to Bloomberg Businessweek, and a 12-week subscription to the New York Times.
