updated 02:45 pm EDT, Sat September 21, 2013

New range of cases vary from rugged to 'style conscious'

Following the release of Apple's new iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c, Cygnett, a mobile accessories company, has launched its latest line of cases to accommodate the new phones. The line designed for iPhone 5s includes the Workmate Utility, Urbanshield Carbon Fiber White and Alternate. For iPhone 5c, new cases include the Form and the Crystal.

The Workmate Utility ($40) is a compact, quad-material full-coverage protective system that includes sealed ports, covered buttons, and shock and abrasion protection. The Urbanshield Carbon Fiber White, priced at $30, consists of genuine carbon fiber and includes a screen protector. The Alternate, a two-tone docking-accessible case, features an anodized aluminum chassis and two colored sets of ends to customize the iPhone's appearance, and costs $30. The new cases for iPhone 5c (Form and Crystal) both retail for $19 and provide additional protection to the plastic exterior of the phone while adorning it in a bright color of the users' choice. Cygnett's charging accessories are compatible with the latest iPhone releases. All accessories are available for purchase online from Cygnett.

Google Translate adds seven languages, including Bosnian, Lao

Google's app, Google Translate for iOS, has received a significant update with the release of Version 2.0. Users are now able to translate text between more than 70 languages, and can listen to translations spoken aloud, as well as directly translate speech and handwriting. Version 2.0 includes the addition of Bosnian, Cebuano, Hmong, Javanese, Khmer, Lao, and Marathi. Also included in the update is a revamped user interface, as well as the ability to input words via handwriting, with one's finger, in 49 supported languages. Google Translate is available free on iTunes.

Great! Now you can get a uselessly misleading translation to even more languages! Thanks a whole lot, Google! (Or, as Google Translate would put it, "Million million millions of big happy gaps!")
