FontAgent Pro 6 adds Workflow Center, Adobe CC compatibility

updated 02:34 pm EDT, Fri September 13, 2013

Includes over 1,350 free fonts

Insider Software has released FontAgent Pro 6, an upgrade of its font management program for the Mac. The main improvement is the addition of the Workflow Center, which can be used to organize and launch automation scripts. The Center itself should regularly update with new features. FontAgent is now also compatible with Adobe's Creative Cloud apps, and sports auto-activation plugins for InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InCopy.

A bundled app, Smasher 3, handles automatic font, print, and cache maintenance. FontAgent's font collection has gained over 1,350 free print and web fonts, which are married to a faster, enhanced search engine capable of discovering local and Internet fonts simultaneously. Insider is also promising a quicker verification and validation engine, along with an improved user interface.

FontAgent Pro 6 requires OS X 10.6.8 or later. The software is $100 new, or $50 as an upgrade for most Pro 4 or 5 owners. The exceptions are if someone has an active support and maintenance agreement, or if they bought Pro 5 after July 1st.
