Sony details PlayStation 4 launch in Japan

Sony has announced that its PlayStation 4 console will arrive in Japan on February 22, three months after the US launch in November, according to a Reuters report. Pricing will start at 39,380 yen (~$400 USD), or 43,980 yen (~$440 USD) with the camera accessory, which effectively matches the US prices.

Western Digital has announced that it has moved to acquire Virident, a company that specializes in flash storage for server equipment. WD CEO Steve Milligan noted that the buyout, which will cost the company $685 million, will help the company become "an even more significant player" in the enterprise SSD market.
