Leaked Chinese marketing pages show alleged iPhone 5s specifications

updated 05:26 am EDT, Mon September 9, 2013

Fingerprint sensor, identical display to iPhone 5 touted

Specifications for the upcoming iPhone 5S, believed to be announced by Apple tomorrow, have allegedly leaked, yet again bringing up a possible fingerprint sensor for the device. The supposed Chinese marketing materials state that the smartphone will have a similar form to the iPhone 5, mimicking that of the iPhone 4S when compared to the iPhone 4, though the home button square is notably absent.

The specifications from Ctechnology state that it will have a four-inch 1136x640-resolution display, equal to that of the iPhone 5. Using a dual-core A7 processor, it is said to have an 8-megapixel F2.0 aperture camera on the rear with a dual LED flash and recording 1080p at 120fps, a front-facing 1.2-megapixel camera, and a standby battery life stretching to 250 hours.

While China Unicom appears in the materials, China Mobile does not, despite recent suggestions that it could be taking part in the device's launch, and its shipping on the carrier delayed until November.

As we get closer to the launch of the next iPhone in the US, as well as another launch event in China the next day, expect the number of rumors and leaks about the device to increase.
