updated 06:10 pm EDT, Mon September 9, 2013

App facilitates slide show presenting via iOS

Boinx Software today released its latest product, PhotoPresenter for iOS. Suitable for impromptu 'show-and-tell' situations, PhotoPresenter lets users display a device's photo library by connecting their iPhone, iPad or iPod to an HDTV set or a projector through HDMI, VGA or AirPlay. The audience of the images sees only what is selected to be displayed, and presenters can jump freely between media files. Available for $1, PhotoPresenter can be purchased via the iTunes App Store.

Yahoo releases Yahoo Screen entertainment app

Today, Yahoo announced on its Tumblr the launch of its latest venture: Yahoo Screen. Intended for viewing video content on mobile devices, Screen allows users to browse through trending clips and search for shows. Swiping left and right skips between episodes of a particular show, and up and down changes channels. Yahoo! has partnered with Viacom to provide content from Comedy Central, and an exclusive digital clip archive of Saturday Night Live. Currently available for iOS 6.0 or later on iTunes, Yahoo Screen is available free of charge.
