Accompanying manual suggests premium version with camera, stylus

Following an appearance at the Taiwan National Communications Commission in late August, the Nvidia Tegra Tab has made its way through FCC testing. The seven-inch P1460 tablet, appearing in identical images to the NCC filing, is accompanied by a manual that shows it as having a relatively-untouched stock installation of Android Jelly Bean.

Internal photos in the filing show it as having an unknown Tegra 4 variant as its processor, according to Engadget. Base specifications appear to include a 1280x800-resolution IPS display with a 3,200 or 4,100mAh battery, and a front-facing HD webcam, though images inside the manual shows that the rear 5-megapixel camera, a HDMI port, and stylus are labeled "Premium Model only," suggesting that more than one version of the Tegra Tab will be available to buy.

The overall build of the device and supporting documentation point towards the Tegra Tab being a full consumer release rather than a developer device. Considering the company has shipped its Tegra 4-powered Shield Android gaming system, Nvidia could well be preparing to offer the similar and more conventional device to end users in the next few months.
