Although netbooks have all but disappeared from the market, Toshiba's new ND15t moves is being pitched as both affordable and offering more productivity than Google's Chrome OS notebooks.

The Satellite ND15t utilizes a new generation Intel N2810 dual-core CPU that is a member of the Intel's latest "Bay Trail" designs. Compared to previous Celeron chips, the new chip is around 150 percent faster and also delivers up to 300 percent better graphics performance. It also includes and HDMI port, a USB 3.0 port and supports Wi-Fi 802.11n Wi-Fi.

The Satellite ND15t will go on sale in November for $380. Although priced slightly higher than an equivalent Chromebook, it should offer better both better performance and more robust offline performance.
