Google Drive for iOS gains thumbnail interface
Google has announced that its Google Drive app for iOS is receiving a visual overhaul with the same card-style thumbnail layout that is featured in the Android version. Within the app users can toggle between the thumbnail view and the traditional list view, as well as view and edit files in landscape mode. The process for copying the link to a Drive file has also been simplified. A link can be copied directly to the device's clipboard by visiting a files details pane and selecting the "Get link" option. The update has already been submitted to Apple and should go live in the App Store later today.
An updated version of Apple's official Podcasts iOS app has been released in the App Store. The app allows users to discover, subscribe to and play thousands of audio and video podcasts from the Podcasts Store, as well as create personal stations that update automatically with new episodes. The v1.2.3 update is a minor release that simply resolves several minor bugs.
