Franchise Hockey Manager allows users to build their own teams

OOTP Developments today released Franchise Hockey Manager 2014 (FHM 2014) world-wide for PC and Mac. FHM 2014 features 19 leagues from around the world, along with historical NHL play as far back as 1947 and the entire WHA history from 1971 to 1979. Users can select custom leagues in a variety of pre-configured ways, with fresh franchises stocked with fictional players who chart unique careers. The game's simulation abilities aim to produce realistic hockey results, offering the capacity to reproduce historical gaming periods, or create fictional leagues. Users can oversee team finances in detail, as well as set lines and tactics for a variety of game situations. Priced at $40, Franchise Hockey Manager 14 is available for download now.

Combat Mission Battle for Normandy: Market Garden available for pre-order

The second module in the critically acclaimed series of WW2 tactical combat, Market Garden, is now available for pre-order, according to BattleFront. The expansion for Combat Mission Battle for Normandy depicts allied Field Marshall Bernard Montgomery's September 1944 journey across Holland and into Germany, which was part of US, British and Polish forces' Operation Market Garden -- with its aim to end World War II.

CM: Market Garden offers to-scale models of the bridges involved in the Market Garden battles, and new urban buildings and windmills. With new scenarios and 'master maps' to guide users who design their own scenarios, users can choose to play through Allied or German campaigns. Requiring Version 2.0 of of the base game, Combat Mission: Battle for Normandy, the Market Garden module is available at a discounted price for $35 on its own or for $40, which includes the 2.0 Engine Upgrade required. The module and bundle are expected to ship in 4-6 weeks.
