Nokia 515 directs user for self portraits with audio prompts

Nokia has launched another featurephone to its roster, complete with a number of features typically suited to smartphones. The Nokia 515 is a candybar-style handset in an anodised aluminum and Gorilla Glass 2 casing measuring 11mm thick, with a 2.4-inch QVGA display and polycarbonate resin keypad and controls on the front, and a useful self-shot camera mode.

On the back of the Nokia 515 is a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash, with options in the corresponding app for a five-shot burst mode, panoramic images, and a self-protrait mode that guides the user with voice prompts, something originally shown by the company in the Nokia 301. The 256MB of storage can be supplemented by a microSD card of up to 32GB, and it also offers 3.5G HSDPA, Bluetooth 3.0, and microUSB connectivity. HD voice support and the Nokia Xpress Browser are included, with the battery providing up to 38 days of standby time, and up to 10.4 hours of talk time.

Rolling out globally in September, initially in Russia, Germany, Switzerland, and Poland, the Nokia 515 will have a suggested retail price of 115 euros ($149).
