Logitech shows ultrabook-oriented Ultrathin Touch Mouse

Bluetooth connectivity, long battery life hallmarks of slim wireless mouse

Today, accessory maker Logitech introduced its first ultra-portable touch mouse. The new slim design of the Logitech Ultrathin Touch Mouse is designed to complement today's computers, with sleek lines and a brushed aluminum body widely found on both Mac and Windows ultrabooks since the introduction of the MacBook Air. Connectivity is provided by Bluetooth 4.0, adding the ability to connect to several different machines without re-pairing.

The Logitech Ultrathin Touch Mouse easily slips into any computer sleeve or pocket. Its touch surface is created by an invisible coating that helps users simplify Windows 8 navigation, or take advantage of the multi-touch navigation in OS X. Using Bluetooth with Logitech Easy-Switch Technology, the Touch Mouse can connect wirelessly to laptops, desktops and tablets at the same time, with the ability to select linked devices with the flip of a switch. The mouse is rechargeable through USB, and one minute of charge time provides enough power to keep working for another hour.

Available in two color options, the Logitech Ultrathin Touch Mouse T630 in black and Logitech Ultrathin Touch Mouse T631 in white are expected to be available in the US and Europe beginning in September 2013 and November 2013, respectively, for a suggested retail price of $70.
