Folder with a question mark, old Mac Pro uses and more

Today in the MacNN Forums, Grizzled Veteran "jeff k" is looking for help with their MacBook Air, which only shows a folder with a question mark symbol in it after they did a hard reset. Yesterday, Posting Junkie "starman" took to the forums looking for suggestions on what they can use their old Mac Pro for.

A discussion about updates to iTunes continues this week after one Grizzled Veteran was asking about an issue with gaps between songs. "Laminar" is trying to decide which system would be better for rendering video footage in iMovie -- a 27-inch iMac with a i7 processor or another system with an i5 processor -- and has turned to the forums for some advice. An older thread about how to find a missing document from Microsoft Word was given a bump when one Fresh-Faced Recruit was looking for a solution to the same problem, however a solution has yet to be found.
