Oppo teases Find 5 smartphone successor N1 for launch in September

Rear-mounted buttons possible addition to Chinese smartphone

Chinese phone producer Oppo is teasing its next mobile device release through its own social media accounts. Images on the Sina Weibo microblogging service from the company suggest the next device will be called the Oppo N1, and will apparently have a similar rear-mounted control scheme to that of the LG G2 smartphone.

The posts, picked up by Engadget and Unwired View, puts the device as a spiritual successor to the Find 5, though it is possible that it will not be a strict follow-on from that device. It is also scheduled to be launched sometime in September, but the date itself remains unknown.

Specifications for the device are also notably absent, aside from the rear button diagram and a shot of the base inputs. There is suggestion that it could have a 12-megapixel camera with Xenon flash and high low-light performance and have a similar 5-inch screen size to the Find 5. Considering the Find 5 went on sale in China, Europe, and North America, it is likely that it will go on sale in the same markets shortly after launch.
