Image, specifications allege Snapdragon S4 processor, 8MP camera
A new HTC smartphone is on the way, according to a new leak. The mid-range HTC Zara is said to have a 4.5-inch qHD (960x540) display driven by a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus running at 1.2GHz with 1GB of RAM, wrapped inside what appears to be a plastic-backed smartphone casing that also takes some cues from the flagship HTC One.
The leaked image and specifications list from serial leaker @evleaks shows the device as having Beats audio, a rear-mounted 8-megapixel camera with LED flash, 8GB of storage expandable by microSD, and a 2,100mAh battery. While it is said to run Android Jelly Bean 4.3, HTC's Sense 5.5 overlay will also make an appearance, with an expected launch in the fourth quarter.
The @urbanstrata Twitter account is branded on the image, instead of the usual @evleaks watermark. The account is owned by Jeff Gordon, the Senior Global Online Commuications manager at the manufacturer, and someone that dismissed @evleaks' earlier work.
