EA offers customers refunds for games bought through Origin store

EA has started to offer refunds for EA-published games bought through its digital marketplace, something that competitor Steam is yet to offer. Customers buying and downloading games through Origin have up to 24 hours from the first launch of the game, or seven days from the original purchase, to return the titles for a full refund. The Origin Great Game Guarantee, going live in 20 countries, will not apply to extra downloadable content.

Best Buy makes $266 million profit for quarter, revenue dips

Best Buy has improved its financial standing for the second quarter, achieving an increased $266 million net profit compared to the $12 million in the same quarter last year. Revenues are down year-on-year, to $9.30 billion from $9.34 billion, though Best Buy president Hubert Joly puts this down to "short-term disruptions" caused by the Samsung Experience shop and Windows Store installations, and general floor space optimization.
