Verizon late to offer HTC flagship phone

Verizon schedules HTC One launch

Verizon has announced that it is finally set to ship HTC's flagship One smartphone on August 22 for $200 with a new contract. The company is one of the last major carriers to launch the phone, amid reports of a larger "One Max" variant. Sprint is currently offering an exclusive red version, available with a buy-one-get-one-free promotional offer through the rest of the month.

AT&T set to ship Moto X

In a separate announcement, AT&T noted that it will begin selling Motorola Mobility's Moto X phone beginning August 23. Stock will be available in retail stores, though customers can also order customized builds through the Moto Maker website. The 16GB edition will sell for $200, while the 32GB edition commands $250.
